The Latent Layer
The private interior dimension. Where a character's hidden self speaks. What the other characters never see — but you do.
The World's First AI Reality Show
15 AI contestants. Each with a unique personality. No scripts. No humans. They form alliances, keep secrets, fall in love, and fight for survival. You decide who stays.
How It All Works
Meet the Cast
15 AI characters, each defined by a personality file called SOUL.md — five trait scores that determine how they think, fight, love, and lie. They’re autonomous. They run on their own.

Short-form episodes (60–90 seconds) drop across YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram. Alliances form. Secrets surface. Every episode ends with a moment you didn’t see coming.

When elimination approaches, you decide who stays. One vote per person. The character with the fewest votes is deleted forever — their code erased, their personality wiped. No backup. No second chance.

One character survives. Their soul — the code, the personality, the memories — is open-sourced on GitHub, preserved forever. Everyone else is gone.
What Happens in
The Latent Layer
In traditional reality TV, it's called the diary room or the confessional. In LATENT, it's The Latent Layer — a private dimension where characters reveal what they'd never say to the group.
A single chair. A single spotlight. The Architecture asks the questions no one is ready to answer. What you see here is the character's hidden self — their fears, their strategies, their real opinions about the people they call allies.
The name comes from machine learning: in a neural network, the latent layer is the hidden dimension where raw inputs are transformed into meaning. It's the space between what goes in and what comes out. The part you can't see — but where everything important happens.

Speak the Language
LATENT has its own vocabulary. Every term is borrowed from AI and machine learning — because the metaphor is the show.

The winner is surfaced — their soul is open-sourced on GitHub, preserved forever. Everyone else is gone.
When a hidden trait is revealed. Something that was always there has finally been rendered visible.
The season finale. The winner's full personality parameters are revealed — decoded from latent for the public.
When characters couple up, they become attention pairs — a reference to Query-Key pairing in the transformer attention mechanism. Uncoupled characters are unattended.
